FAQ's

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am located in South Florida, and yes, I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your destination session, it will require a travel fee, depending on where the event(s) takes place and travel length.

What type of camera equipment do you work with?

I work with Canon 5D Mark II and Mark III cameras, accompanied by several prime and L-series lenses.

What is included with my photography session?

All photo sessions include session time on the day(s) of the event(s), a private online gallery that can be shared with family and friends, high-resolution edited photos, client exclusive code to download images, an online store to order prints and products, and client right to print.

When will we receive our photos?

Delivery of your private online gallery of photos varies between 2 weeks and a maximum of 5 weeks based on the season, session type, and length.

How many photos will we receive?

It depends on the type and length of each session. For example, coverage for an 8-hour wedding typically yields 400-600 fully edited images. Keep in mind these numbers may increase or decrease depending on the day's flow and the number of events or activities needing to be captured. Not all images taken during a session are selected to make up your gallery. In the end, I always select the best photos to tell your story, choosing quality over quantity.

What rights do I have with the digital images?

You have the right to reprint images whenever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without Karen Young Photography's written consent.

What is your approach to wedding photography?

During your client meeting, we'll discuss your wedding details and your photography ideas and needs. We'll also go over what to expect on the big day. Most often, when needed, I'll share a wedding day timeline template with you to serve as a guide. We'll talk about options for a first look or when to schedule your couple photos. A few weeks before the big day, I'll send you a guide with tips to look your best and get the most out of your photography. On your wedding day, I will photograph prompted and candid images, capturing the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the fun, and all the details that make your wedding unique.
